If you seek some well-heeled and materialistic person please look else where. If for that matter you seek someone who is spiritual, non materialistic, Look no further. I walk a deeply spiritual path, though I do not adhere to any major or minor religion. I am a real man not the macho type. And have been called dangerously intellectual, an amazing man, a great bear of a man and just delicious. I do not seek a mix of soul mate, lover, friend and companion etc. This is a very rare thing and one is lucky to find it. If you seek this mix then please look elsewhere but I fear you may never find. I enjoy so much in this life. From reading the works of Rumi and Tagore to eating dark chocolate and making bread. This is only a small reflection of me to know me more why not get in contact. Let's see if we walk the same path together. Peace love and light.x.x.

Now heres a thing in Lanarkshire there is a race that is 500 years old and the prize is a pair of red socks. It is a legal requirement to run this race. It was James the IV that started the race as they needed some warning in case of invasion. The winner was required to wear them so he would not be killed the only year it has not been held was in 2002 when we had foot and mouth. And it can only be called off with permission from the reigning monarch.

We have some quite odd customs in the land of ours and they normally start around now.
Many of the meanings are lost in the mists of time. Many have been reduced to school activities which is sad for they lose a lot of the meaning which inevitably involves fertility and procreation.

These all developed in a time when communities were closer and we were also closer to the rhythms of the earth. But now many that survive do so as a tourist attraction. And the connection get ever weaker to our past and its meaning.
But if you delve deep into these customs you get a glimpse of a forgotten time.
Where we would perform these rites so that the year would move ever forward.

If any one has read or seen Terry Pratchits "The Hogfather" it is a very good take on the traditions we have but then he is a very good observer of the human condition lol.

So on that I will partake of tea something very British but it is not really that lol.
An import from India............

Blessings to all.
Blessed be , peter XXXXX
